I see so much of this on a daily basis, copies of copies of copies and everyone gets a pat on the back, notoriety, money/jobs. I see a lot of “Oh this is amazing!” when actually it’s a shit copy of someone else’s style and hard work. It’s disheartening. It’s natural to emulate the work of those we admire in the beginning, it’s a learning tool, but to never move past that is a shame. It’s our duty to move forward and forge our own style and voice.
This is the good stuff. The good stuff needs to eclipse the bad stuff. We need to spread the good stuff around.
